Masterpiece AluminiumTitanium Nitride (AlTiN) Coatied Utilizing the Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) process
A formed layer of aluminum oxide gives this tool better life in high heat applications. This coating is primarily selected for carbide tooling where little to no coolant is being used.
This coating holds its hardness at higher temperatures due to a layer of aluminum oxide that forms between the tool and the cutting chip. This layer transfers heat away from the tool and into the part or chip.
Due to the excellent heat insulation between chips and tools, AlTiN coatings are the most used coatings for modern high performance cutting.

Versamill OEM Titanium Silicon Nitride (TiSiN) Coatied Utilizing the Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) process
Together, titanium and silicon (TiSi) make an outstanding team for nitride hard material coatings. Silicon guarantees excellent resistance to oxidation while the presence of titanium ensures particularly hard coatings. When combined, the two elements are wear resistant even at very high temperatures.
TiSiN-coated tools are extremely wear-resistant and permit high machining speeds. Machining operations without the use of coolants also pose no problem. Even tough materials such as nickel-based alloys and titanium-based materials are easy to machine using titanium-silicon nitride-coated tools.
